About
Learning for Life is a week-long series of news features that airs the third week of every month from 7 to 8 a.m. on KING 5 Morning News on KONG 6/16 TV and tackles a variety of early learning topics that will not only appeal to parents, grandparents and those who work with young children but also the general public.
Learning for Life was created as part of a new partnership between Thrive, with support from the Ginger & Barry Ackerley Foundation, and BELO Seattle, which owns KONG 6/16, KING 5 TV and Northwest Cable News. A portion of funding is also provided by Child Care Resources.
Below are links to each month’s news series. You can also visit the Learning for Life page site on the KING5.com Web site to view other stories on early learning and participate in community conversations.
In 2009, the Thrive and BELO partnership also will produce two, one-hour prime-time special programs and Learning for Life segments on Evening Magazine.
